What is Pilates?

Pilates offers a form of exercise that keys on the mental focus of the physical movements being performed. It is the foundation that teaches proper alignment and body mechanics. Programs focus on training the mind and body to work together harmoniously – achieving fitness goals through stronger, more fluid movement.

Pilates is a physical fitness system developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates. Pilates called his method "Contrology".
